About
Hormonal transition, usually referred to as "hormone replacement therapy" (HRT), commonly consists of two main parts:
- a drug to suppress the effects of testosterone
- the most common one is spironilactone
- this should be discontinued if the testes are removed, as it is no longer needed
- one or more drugs to promote feminization
- estrogen, in various forms, is the most essential
- progesterone is also commonly used as a suppliement
Notes
I have information on the main HRT drugs which also needs to go here, but I wanted to save a couple of links quickly:
- Bicalutamide: an alternative to spirinolactone
- TRANS WOMEN: HERE’S SOME SHIT YOUR DOCTOR WONT TELL YOU ABOUT HRT: some information that needs checking
