The Ace Muffler shop in Durham, NC is the opposite of pretentious. They only accept cash in payment (no checks or credit cards). There's no waiting room, coffee, or nonstop television (a bonus), but service is quick and their prices are generally quite low by comparison to more "professional"-looking establishments with an advertising budget.
