Sitar India Palace
About
Sitar India Palace is an Indian restaurant with a location in Durham, NC (across 15-501 from South Square) and another in Raleigh, NC.
Sitar first opened in 1998 in Regency Plaza when Regency and South Square Mall were both thriving retail areas. They were the last establishment to leave Regency, originally having no plans to move despite being the only business still there (their web site stated that they had signed another 10-year lease at the same rate), but when the redevelopment of Regency fell through due to the 2008 financial meltdown, they ultimately moved to their current location in approximately 2008-9.

Review
Their lunch buffet is generally pretty good and includes nan and onion chutney (sometimes called "hot onion"), usually some kind of pakora, and of course a good selection of meat and veggie main dishes. They stopped having chicken tandoori a couple of months ago, and that was the only main dish Harena liked (she doesn't like hot-spicy stuff), so we've been going other places. --Woozle 09:32, 12 October 2005 (EDT) (Update: apparently that was a temporary outage, as they have had chicken tandoori since then.)
