Computing: Operating Systems: Linux: Enlightenment

Enlightenment is a very shiny Window Manager for Linux.

How To

Basic installation-from-source procedure which should work for everyone:

  1. download http://www.rasterman.com/files/get_e.sh
  2. edit it and tell it not to build entrance
  3. run it

Unfortunately, it is not really compatible with Synaptic/apt-get just yet. Apparently there is a way to force apt to work with it, but it requires leaving a broken package installed. APT will generally be unhappy about this.
