Azureus is software for sharing BitTorrents. Of the widely-available torrent software, it seemed to have the most sophisticated interface as of ~2005, but its features are now common..
Azureus is written in Java and hence should run on any platform with a Java engine, but this is easier to accomplish on some platforms than on others.

In order to run Azureus, you have to have JRE (the Sun Java Runtime Environment) 1.4.x or later installed.
