About

Mozilla Thunderbird is an open-source and rather RAM-intensive email client.

This page is a seed article. You can help HTYP water it: make a request to expand a given page and/or donate to help give us more writing-hours!

Notes

Thunderbird seems to keep its config and data files in ~/.thunderbird/. If you need to store them somewhere else, just move this folder where needed and then make a link. Unfortunately, when browsing for data folders (where the local cache of message data is stored for each account), Thunderbird will detect the actual folder and remember that, rather than using the link-based URL -- so every time the link's target changes, you will need to update the storage folders for each account.
