Revision as of 14:17, 10 April 2017 by Woozle (talk | contribs) (Woozle moved page social computing/distributed/platform to social computing/federated/platform)
This page is about platforms for distributed social computing. Ideally, the only restrictions should be those imposed by the technical requirements, i.e. sufficient computing power and adequate network connectivity, so as to impose as few restrictions as possible on the creation of new nodes.
Programmer-hours and expertise to implement compatible software on various platforms will be a bottleneck, but not a restriction as such.
Possible platforms include:
- standard web servers using any operating system
- FeedFerret is being implemented on Linux+Apache+MediaWiki
- web client plugins
- mobile phones
