Encounters

  • 2009-08-11 (The Hypertwins) Called both our home number (caller ID was "800 service" or similar) and the phone number of Harena's mother. Left no message on our phone; Harena's mom spoke with the caller, who claimed to be Susan Marlowe from American Express -- but Googling the number indicates that it is actually a phishing scam -- which is very interesting, because we were half-expecting a legit call from Amex (see this) and the number does not match any of the numbers AmEx gave us to call. I have sent a message to Amex asking if that is one of their numbers.
