Camera comes with two battery-packs: (1) NiMH and (2) Li-ion. The NiMH is often described in other reviews as "non-rechargeable", but this is probably just because the two AA-sized batteries are tightly taped together; they are clearly marked "rechargeable" and should be separable. Perhaps also the base is only configured for charging Li-ion and not NiMH. | |||

We got the camera with base at Costco for about $160.
Camera comes with two battery-packs: (1) NiMH and (2) Li-ion. The NiMH is often described in other reviews as "non-rechargeable", but this is probably just because the two AA-sized batteries are tightly taped together; they are clearly marked "rechargeable" and should be separable. Perhaps also the base is only configured for charging Li-ion and not NiMH.
