Samba network browsing
To enable Samba network browsing (the closest equivalent to Network Neighborhood on Windows) in Thunar:
- install the gvfs-backends package
- run sudo dpkg-reconfigure thunar
Applications menu
Modifying the applications menu:
Apparently it is a set of files in a particular folder. For some reason, there is no app to edit them, although this should not be difficult to write. (It's also not clear how submenus are handled...)
