This is where you (meaning whoever places the order) record the quantity actually ordered from the supplier.
It defaults to the quantity needed, but the actual restock request (order sent to the supplier) may have a different quantity for any of several possible reasons. This field lets you keep track of what was actually ordered, in case it's different from what the system suggested.
