Examples

Add a new remote, fetch, and check out a branch from it:
$ git remote
origin
$ git branch -r
origin/HEAD -> origin/master
origin/master
$ git remote add staging git://git.kernel.org/.../gregkh/staging.git
$ git remote

$ git fetch staging
