Mr. Sturdivant was killed in 2008.

  • Ronnie Sturdivant: owner of the "Urban Merchant Center" and the "We Want Oprah" building (Washington Duke Motel)
    • The "We Want Oprah" sign was removed within a few weeks of Mr. Sturdivant's death
