User commands

• findsmb: lists Samba-connected machines by name, IP address, workgroup; also shows master browser status
  • DMB = Domain Master Browser
  • LMB = Local Master Browser
• smbtree (manpage^m): shows Samba servers and their shares in a hierarchical format
• net^m
• nmblookup (manpage^m)
• smbclient (manpage^m)
• smbcontrol (manpage^m)
• smbpasswd (manpage^m)
• smbstatus (manpage^m)
• testparm (manpage^m)

System commands

These are not usually run directly by the user.

• smbd: the Samba daemon
• nmbd: the NetBIOS name server daemon
