About
Fidelity Bank is a bank based in Fuquay-Varina, NC with over 67 locations in North Carolina and Virginia. Their web site states pointedly that they "did not accept federal assistance through the TARP program".
Originally founded as the Bank of Fuquay on June 16, 1909, it merged with the Bank of Biscoe in 1970 and expanded rapidly in the 1990s, opening nine branches in 1998 alone and another eight in 1999. It remains independently owned, in accordance with their mission statement: "Fidelity Bank is not for sale. We have been independent for nearly 100 years, and plan to remain that way."
