Darn! Passwords! (DP) was originally created by Emma Software as part of their "Darn!" line created by Dan Veaner. (It's not clear whether Veaner actually coded the software in question or was somehow otherwise responsible for its existence.) EmmaSoft shut down "after 141/2 years" (though it's not clear what year this happened), and DP is now (2011) supported and developed by publisher::Thornsoft Development, Inc..
