files used by Samba
at least on Ubuntu

known config files

  • /run/samba: seems to be runtime data?
  • /sbin/ is a symbolic link to /usr/sbin/.
  • /usr/bin/: general binary folder, including the following Samba executables:
    • ...smb2-quota
    • ...smbcacls
    • ...smbclient
    • ...smbcontrol
    • ...smbcquotas
    • ...smbget
