Adding a contact

  • Question: how do you add someone who already has Signal installed? The only way I can find to add a new person is to "invite" them, which just sends them a text inviting them to install Signal.
    • Answer: Tentatively, you can:
      • Unverified: In the desktop app, "search" for their phone number, and then send them a message.
      • Unverified: In the mobile app, it may be that you just add people to the regular Android address book and they will show up in Signal if they also have Signal installed.
  • Question: After initiating a conversation via entering someone's phone number, how do you give that contact a name via the desktop app?
