About
The Forest at Duke is a retirement community located off Pickett Road in Durham, NC. It is located on the edge of (and not to be confused with) Duke Forest.
The Forest at Duke, Inc. was organized in October 1988 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation to plan, build, own, and manage the new retirement community. As a master campus plan was developed, residences were quickly reserved, and construction began. The first residents were welcomed to their homes in September of 1992.[1]
