About
Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME are often collectively referred to as Windows 9x due to the similarity of their underlying code, which was developed separately from the Windows NT code. Windows NT is the code foundation upon which Windows 2000 and Windows XP were developed, although Windows XP supposedly also incorporates some features from the Windows 9x line.
