800-430-5262 is the customer service number ("Customer Care line") for AMC Mortgage Services, formerly Ameriquest. They are in the habit of calling without leaving a message, even when they apparently have a legitimate reason to call.
- 2007-07-03 10:50 The Hypertwins: called landline, left no message. (They have our email address; why don't they send an email?)
- 2007-07-16 12:08: same (I haven't been consistent about recording their calls, but I'm sure they have called several other times as well)
- Later that day, they finally left a message. I was totally not in a phone-call handling mood that day, but the next day when they called I picked up; see htwiki:2007-07-07 letter to AMC for how that went.
- 2007-07-19 16:55: Called again and left another message to call back but not explaining why, despite the long conversation we had 3 days ago. We obviously need to change our outgoing message so it says "If you are a business requesting a call-back, please explain why or we will probably not call back.
