[[The Forest at Duke]] is a [[retirement community]] located off [[US/NC/Durham/roads/Pickett|Pickett Road]] in [[Durham, NC]]. It is located on the edge of (and not to be confused with) [[Duke Forest]].

<blockquote>The Forest at Duke, Inc. was organized in October 1988 as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation to plan, build, own, and manage the new retirement community. As a master campus plan was developed, residences were quickly reserved, and construction began. The first residents were welcomed to their homes in September of 1992.<ref name=fdhistory /></blockquote>
