This page is about platforms for distributed social computing. Ideally, the only restrictions should be those imposed by the technical requirements, i.e. sufficient computing power and adequate network connectivity, so as to impose as few restrictions as possible on the creation of new nodes.

Programmer-hours and expertise to implement compatible software on various platforms will be a bottleneck, but not a restriction as such.
