  • Global configuration settings for kioslaves can be found in /usr/share/services
  • User configuration settings for kioslaves can be found in ~/.kde/share/config
  • kio_ftp sometimes has problems due to the use of multiple connections; this can be overridden by running konqueror from the command line:
KDE_FORK_SLAVES=1 konqueror ftp://server.address
