About
YouTube is a video sharing web site/service, probably the first and largest. It was created in 2005 by two former PayPal employees, and bought by Google in 2006.

Downloading
Although YouTube itself does not support downloads, there are several pieces of free software available for downloading YouTube videos. (Some of these work with other video services as well.)
