The outbuilding containing the "Big Star" grocery store (near the corner of Shannon Rd. and 15-501 Blvd.) was not demolished; it had already changed tenancy to Office Depot and several smaller businesses and is still extant as of 2017. Also, I remember going to the mall towards the end of its life because that was the nearest Radio Shack. RS was near the back entrance (the one shown in the demolition photos above) on the upper level, so I would park in the lot being demolished in the photos above. That entrance opened onto the food court. I do remember noting that there weren't many stores left, but never thought to take a photo of the interior. (Photos cost money back then, and cameras didn't fit easily in pockets.) In the early 1980s, I used to go to the food court for lunch and get pizza from Schiano's, which had become Sbarro by 2001. (I could ramble more about Schiano's.) The Chick-Fil-A was originally in the food court, but moved to a satellite location off University Drive at some point. Just this year (2017), they moved to a new building on the former location of a Greek restaurant whose name temporarily escapes me. --Woozle (talk) 08:55, 16 July 2017 (EDT)
