Overview

An Individualized Education Program (IEP) is a written document defined by the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), a United States federal law. All US public schools must update this document at least once a year for each disabled student at the school.

Updating the document requires an IEP meeting, where the student's parents and teachers must agree on the plan for the next year.

Parents may call an IEP meeting at any time, and may choose to bring others to the meeting at their discretion.

This is a growing seedling article. You can help HTYP by watering it.
