Certain pages seem to be attractive to spammers. A few of these pages aren't actually used for anything, but a deleted page can't be protected, so we redirect them to this page. (This also creates a convenient list of pages we've handled this way.)
If anyone needs any of these pages unprotected, please post a note on the talkpage briefly explaining why (mainly so we can be sure you're not a 'bot!) and we'll be happy to unlock it.
