Articles about local businesses. "Local" generally means that they primarily do business in some relatively small area, probably no larger than a large metro area, but use your best judgement. An individual location of a more widespread company may also be considered a "local business", at least in regards to that business's interaction with the local economy:

  • a manufacturing plant whose products sell all over the world may still hire locally, in which case that particular plant location should be listed under "employment" (the article may have links to the main company, but the article is not about the main company)
  • a grocery store chain with locations across the country will still have concerns particular to each location, e.g. the quality of their selection and customer service; each location should probably have its own article unless there is some clear reason not to do so.
