There are two methods for finding the serial number of the touchscreen system, which is also by default the PIN for the Navigation System.
* The navigation DVD-R reader, which is under the driver's seat, has the serial number on its underside. This can be viewed using a mirror, or (more easily) photographed using the self-facing camera on a smartphone. (It is also apparently not difficult to remove.)
* The serial number can be obtained directly from the touchscreen via the {{l/same|diagnostics}} menu by selecting "unit check", then "NAVI ECU". (This ''should'' work even with a locked unit, but we have not verified this.)
