Record Bar

Record Bar was a chain of music retail stores which began in Durham, NC in the early 1960s or late 1950s and eventually spread nationwide. Many of its stores were later renamed "Tracks" and eventually "Turtle's", though it is not clear whether this was a branding decision or a buyout.

One of its first locations -- possibly the original -- was at 201-203 East Main Street.
